麻豆社 is proud to offer applicants with a love for theatre, performance, and crew an opportunity to earn a scholarship to participate in the Theatre and Media Performance program each semester. Awards can be combined with other Stevenson merit-based awards and are renewable for up to four years of undergraduate, non-accelerated study.

Theatre Involvement Scholarship

Recipients of the Theatre Involvement Scholarship are expected to participate in the Stevenson productions each semester. Awards are in the amount of $1,300 per year.

• Recipients of the Theatre Involvement Scholarship can be any major.
• Those interested must complete the application by March 1 and attend a 30-minute virtual interview.
  • An Admissions staff member will reach out to schedule the interview.
• Recipients are required to complete a specific number of hours of involvement each semester. Involvement includes: acting, stage management, running crew, scene shop, front of house, costumes, props, make up/hair, marketing, and/or box office.

Theatre Performance Scholarship

Recipients of the Theatre Performance Scholarship must major in Theatre and Media Performance. Awards are in the amount of $2,000 per year.

• Recipients are required to audition for every production.
• Those interested must submit the application by March 1 and attend a 30-minute virtual interview. After the interview, finalists will be notified via email if they have been selected to move on to the audition round. Selected finalists will be asked to memorize and perform ONE monologue totaling 1-2 minutes in length. The monologue should be from a contemporary published play. Following the performance of the monologue, faculty will conduct an acting coaching session where the student will be asked to make adjustments to their performance. The audition will conclude with a questions and answer session between the student and the faculty.
• Recipients of the Theatre Performance Scholarship are not eligible to receive the Theatre Involvement Scholarship.
